Friends:
Thanks for visiting the Canterbury Fellowship website! On behalf of all Episcopalians at MSU, let me take this opportunity to extend to you a warm invitation to join us for fun, fellowship, worship and inquiry sometime soon.
Canterbury is a long-standing ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi and Church of the Resurrection, Starkville. Know that our primary interest is in you! We are here to walk with you in your spiritual journey during your time here. College can certainly be one of the best times in one's life, offering opportunities for newfound freedom, adventure, reflection, engagement, dialog, seeking and trying new things. Why not focus at least some of that energy on your beliefs, practices and questions in life? We hope to offer you a safe place to explore both your faith and your doubt, to dig deeper. But know that we're not just focused on the serious stuff. We also like to have a lot of fun when we gather together!
Our Canterbury students and I hope that you'll explore the pages of this website further to see what we're all about. If you have questions or want more information, don't hesitate contacting me. I'm ready and more than willing to help try to answer some of your questions or to get your feedback.
As your chaplain, it is my hope to be available to you in a variety of ways. Please be in touch to chat or to schedule an appointment. Be sure to look for me on campus, too! I usually come to campus for breakfast in the Union on Mondays, but I can always be reached through the office at Resurrection or via email: 662-323-3483 x 102, MSUchaplain@gmail.com.
Again, welcome to State. Welcome to Canterbury! We look forward to seeing you sometime soon!
The Rev. Carol L. Mead, chaplain
